Macy Pollard
Student Minister
Born in Fort Worth, Texas, I was raised by parents who love the Lord and laid a strong foundation of faith for my two brothers and me. Throughout my childhood, we moved several times because of my dad’s career, living in Missouri and Indiana before finally settling in Tyler, Texas, the place I call home.
I first recognized Jesus as my Savior at the age of nine, but it wasn’t until college that I truly surrendered to Him as Lord. It was through the BSM at Tyler Junior College, where I was surrounded by a strong, Christ-centered community that sharpened and transformed my faith. My call to ministry began to take shape during my college years as I started serving in the student ministry at my local church, as well as witnessing God’s heart for the nations through serving the global Church in India for two summers, along with other international mission trips.
After graduating from TJC, I transferred to Criswell College and completed my bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministry. From there, I stepped into full-time student ministry at my home church, Flint Baptist, where I served for six incredible years. Those years cultivated in me a passion for teaching God’s Word, equipping and discipling students, helping recognize their God-given gifts & being a daily presence in their life.
I not only believe that students are the future Church—they are the Church today and have a vital role in the body of Christ. My prayer for the students at Eastside is that they would find their full satisfaction and confidence in Jesus, that they would live set-apart lives, and that through their faith and testimonies, others would come to know the true freedom found in Jesus Christ.
