Partnering with parents to make disciples.

“One generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts.” -Psalm 145:4

Our service to kids is one of our favorite and most important ministries at Eastside.

Eastside Kids is where the church comes alongside parents in discipling their children. It’s where the next generation hears the truths of Scripture and the redemptive love of God, week in week out. It’s where they see Christlike character modeled in the men and women who care for them. It’s where friendships are formed and hearts are molded. It’s a safe place full of laughter, encouragement, comfort, sharing, love, friendship, service, and life lessons. It’s where they learn to love the scriptures and love the Author of those scriptures.

Sunday Programming

We offer Sunday programming for preschool (0-5) and elementary age children (kindergarten-5th grade) at both services. Check-in begins 20 minutes before each service.

AWANA

Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed (AWANA) is a fun and exciting club that helps children grow in the Christian life by teaching basic truths about God, Jesus Christ, salvation and the Bible. AWANA meets Wednesday evenings during the school year. More information and registration can be found here. If you are interested in serving as a volunteer, please fill out this application.

Special Needs

Eastside Community Church believes all people are made in the image of God. In line with our mission, our goal is to love all people which includes people of all abilities (with intellectual, developmental, or physical disabilities) in our church body. Our hope is that every person may feel welcome and experience Christ’s love while having the opportunity to grow in their personal relationship with Jesus.

During Sunday morning programming, we use the Buddy System with our special needs friends, and are able to accommodate any sensory needs your child might have.

If you have a child who would currently benefit from this, please fill out this form or contact Rebekah Nicewander.

Family Discipleship

We believe that parents and our church corporately have a cooperative opportunity and duty to lead our households in following Christ. We are committed to consistent family discipleship (modeling, time, moments, and milestones). We work together as a church to disciple the next generation, teaching them to obey all that Christ commanded us.

Serve with Kids

Everyone in the church has a role to play in discipling the next generation. If you would like to serve the families of Eastside by volunteering on Sundays, please prayerfully consider filling out this application.
