Growing up in a home with Christian parents who loved the Lord and their local church was a tremendous blessing. My dad served as a deacon, and my mom served as the children’s minister at our local church in Louisiana. I never knew that decades later I’d find myself in a very similar role to my mom. It's a sweet gift from God that I can’t quite explain.

I graduated from LSU with a BA in Liberal Arts/Art History, envisioning a creative career. My husband, Josh, and I married right out of college in 2008 and moved quite a bit initially. I love creativity and embraced various creative career opportunities, but God had more in mind. He gave me a heart for kids' ministry early on under my mom's wing and nurtured that passion while I served in kids' ministry at different churches as an adult.

Becoming a mom to our three boys, Myles, Hayes, and Silas, has only intensified my heart for kids' ministry. One of my deepest desires is for my children and the children of our church to know the truth of the gospel, and for parents to be encouraged in discipling their children. It’s truly my joy to share the hope of Jesus to Eastside Kids and encourage moms and dads during these formative years!

My prayer for Eastside Community Church is that we resemble a picture of heaven, glorifying our Father in all we do. I pray we are a people who lead lives that consider others before ourselves, our comfort, and conveniences, and live missionally, not taking one day for granted. May we remember the privilege and call to bring the good news of Jesus Christ into all the world, into our community, and into our homes.
